Semi-final draw sets up two thrilling MTN8 clashes
The MTN8 semi-final line-up has been confirmed, with the draw producing two fascinating ties as the race for the first major trophy of the new season moves into its decisive stage.
Defending champions Orlando Pirates will face Sekhukhune United, while Mamelodi Sundowns have been drawn against Golden Arrows. The fixtures were confirmed after a dramatic quarter-final weekend that delivered extra-time battles, late drama and a major upset.
Pirates kept alive their pursuit of a fifth consecutive MTN8 title after battling past Durban City in extra time. The Buccaneers will now meet a Sekhukhune side that showed character and attacking quality in their win over AmaZulu, earning a second successive appearance in the last four.

In the other semi-final, Sundowns will take on Golden Arrows. Sundowns were also pushed beyond 90 minutes before overcoming Polokwane City, while Arrows produced one of the shocks of the round by knocking out Kaizer Chiefs.
The draw has kept Pirates and Sundowns apart, raising the possibility of a heavyweight final should both sides progress. However, Sekhukhune and Arrows have already shown they are capable of upsetting bigger names, ensuring both semi-finals carry plenty of intrigue.
