Sekhukhune United have parted ways with head coach Cedric Kaze by mutual agreement, with immediate effect, the club has announced.
The decision brings an end to Kaze’s brief tenure at the Limpopo-based club, with Sekhukhune United thanking the Burundian coach for his dedication, professionalism and contribution during his time in charge.
In a statement, the club expressed its appreciation for Kaze and wished him well in his future endeavours.
The coaching change comes as Sekhukhune move quickly to ensure continuity within the technical team. Papi Zothwane has been appointed as the club’s new head coach and will take charge of the team with immediate effect.

Zothwane will be assisted by Paulus Masehe, while Nascent Nkhwashu will continue in his position as goalkeeper coach.
The club said the changes were part of a coaching transition aimed at maintaining stability and ensuring a smooth handover as the team prepares for the challenges ahead.
With Zothwane now at the helm, attention will turn to how the new technical team settles in and whether it can provide the consistency and results required during the remainder of the campaign.
Sekhukhune United have not indicated whether the changes will extend beyond the current technical appointments, but the club’s statement made it clear that stability, continuity and a smooth transition remain its immediate priorities.
